Michelle Wilson, Founder & K-9 Partner

As the Founder of Epic Animal Recovery & K-9 Partner,
Michelle often gets asked, “How did you get into finding lost pets?” The answer for Michelle, is always the same. “EPIC is the reason. EPIC has been my mentor, teacher and best friend on this journey.” After almost 10 years in the industry, this team has helped thousands of lost and stray animals find their way home and to safety. Michelle specializes in lost pet behavior and tracking, using “sign” created by the missing animal. She also uses behavior based trapping techniques by using many different styles of traps based on the specific needs of the situation. And don’t forget EPIC, Seeker & Lyra!! These are her trailing search dogs that are hands-on trained by Michelle. EPIC search dogs are scent specific trained trailing and air scent dogs that will work in most environments and terrains. Michelle is Pet first aid/CPR certified along with multiple FEMA certifications.

K-9 Epic

Don’t let her size fool you! She means business! Epic is the reason behind EPIC Animal Recovery. She is EPIC trained and certified and has assisted in the recovery of hundreds of pets over the past several years. EPIC was found as a stray and it was kismet that she crossed paths with Michelle. They have been working as a team from day 1. That is a gifted nose on this 28lb search K-9! Don’t get in her way….

K-9 Seeker

Seeker’s story is one of a typical backyard breeder, but this has not held her back. Seeker is earning her stripes! Seeker is a Dutch Shepherd with the work ethic and the talent of the breed. She is a versatile and driven K-9 willing to work in any environment or climate. Seeker is trained on LIVE scent and decomp which gives this girl an edge.

Christine Johnson, Team Manager

A lot of you will recognize Christine’s name from the Lost & Found pages in Huntersville, Cornelius & Davidson. Christine is one of the Admins for these pages. If you have reached out to us in FB messenger, she was also most likely your first contact with us. Christine has been with TEAM EPIC for the last four years and brings invaluable skills to the team, including her advanced trapping skills. She is a professional trapper with a consistently high success rate. Christine is also a specialist in Lost Pet Behavior helping to track down and trap lost pets. Christine does not give in or give up and this is why we are so happy she is with TEAM EPIC!! Christine is pictured to the left w/ her honorary EPIC dogs Pepper & Peanut.

Corey Snyder, K-9 Partner

Corey started his journey in the dog world as a dog obedience trainer. During his time in obedience school, Corey crossed paths with Osa and it was love at first sight. Osa’s breeder turned Corey onto the Lost Pet tracking idea and gave him some tips to get started. Corey reached out to Michelle for training, but she knew this was just the beginning for Corey and Osa. She welcomed Corey & Osa onto the team, recognizing kismet when she sees it. Corey & Osa bring to the table a positive attitude and the drive and desire to learn and work hard. We are super excited to watch this K-9 team grow and build on their already existing talents.

K-9 Osa

Osa is a Belgian Malinois who started her career in the dog obedience world. However, she is now diving into a whole new world of scent work! Osa has found her calling and with the help of her partner, Corey & TEAM EPIC, she is well on her way to a successful career as a trailing dog searching for lost pets.
