LOST PET SIGN CAMPAIGN HEAR YE! HEAR YE!

LAUNCH A SIGN CAMPAIGN AS IF YOUR PET’S LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!

BECAUSE IT DOES!!!…

WHAT IS A SIGN CAMPAIGN?? A sign campaign is when you design and print signs with your lost pet’s info on them. These signs should be hung and distributed in key locations to assist in generating sightings.

Signs are the BEST way to generate sightings. Our statistics continue to show that effective signs are still the major player in your lost pet’s recovery. Although social media and other methods have also been proven effective, signs are still what’s making it happen. Your signs should be kept simple, large & eye-catching.. We do not add a pet’s name to the sign due to the negative impact it has when strangers call out to your pet using a name. Your pet could already be in a flight/survival mindset and calling her/his name could result in pushing the pet further away.

The size of your your signs DO matter! Certain areas dictate the need for larger signs. The higher traffic areas need at minimum a 11x17 or larger. Slower traffic areas (ie: exits of subdivisions, strip malls, churches etc) are more suited for a 8.5x11. Also, handouts (4up flyer) are extremely effective for giving to people. Do not let anyone get by you without giving them a handout!

How many should you get printed? As many as it takes. For a cat, we start with a two mile radius. (Approx 50 signs to start) For a dog we do a 3-5 mile radius depending on the dog’s profile. (Approx 75-100 to start). This could differ for certain locations and situations. Use this info as a guide.

Remember!!.. It is important to make sure you have protected your signs by laminating or placing in a Ziploc bag (opening at the bottom).. You don’t want to have to go back and repeat all of your hard work due to a rainstorm.

Now….. What are you waiting for? Let’s get those signs out!! Why are you still reading? The sooner you get those signs out, the sooner calls are going to start coming in….
